About Our Chapter

The MOMS Club® is an international nonprofit organization with 2,000+ chapters in seven countries. “MOMS” is an acronym for “MOMS Offering Moms Support”. We believe that raising our children is the most important job any mother can choose! Though the club was started for at-home mothers, mothers who work outside the home are also welcome to join. We are here to give support and understanding to each other during the daily joys and trials of motherhood.

Our goals include providing a forum for relevant topics to mothers, engaging in activities that enrich the lives of our children (and ourselves!), and performing service projects. Perhaps most important, we hope to provide the opportunity for mothers to forge friendships with other mothers.

This website will help you become more familiar with all that our chapter has to offer. As a member, you will receive a monthly newsletter, which will keep you informed about chapter news and activities. We primarily meet during the day when at-home moms need support, so children are welcome at all activities!

We hope you consider becoming a member of the MOMS Club® of North Attleborough! No doubt you and your children will make many lifelong friends. Click “Email Us” and an email will be sent to our club address. Our Membership Vice-President will respond quickly.

History of Our Chapter

The MOMS Club® was founded in the fall of 1983 by Mary B. James and the first local chapter was in Simi Valley, California. Word spread about the wonderful support offered by the MOMS Club® and eventually we became an international organization of more that 2,000 local chapters worldwide with over 100,000 members! New chapters are forming all the time!

All local chapters are registered with the International MOMS Club® Corporation. They all abide by the same set of bylaws and pay dues to the International organization every year. Each chapter sends a monthly newsletter and each President maintains contact with a State Coordinator. Each chapter has a local Big Sister who is our primary coordinator and helps us with any issues we may have. The international organization also maintains a Mother to Mother fund which serves as a charity to help any member dealing with devastating financial and natural disasters.

Our local chapter was established in September 2004. We were “sistered” from the Attleboro, MA chapter. We are currently only accepting new members who live within the city limits of North Attleborough, MA.

Visit the International MOMS Club® website at www.momsclub.org for information on how to find and contact a chapter or email them.

There are many ways to be involved with the MOMS Club®. Volunteers are often needed for different projects. Every June, MOMS Club® chapters hold elections for board positions. Volunteering for any leadership role is one of the surest ways to meet people and help other moms like you!
